Copied from my post on BWE which is a socal site. Might help to keep that in mind when looking at line strength.

So I have a few reels that need to get overhauled and my regular reels need some new line so I figured this would be a good time to switch things up. I don't have anything huge, just two old Penn squidders, and daiwa sealines ld50h, sg27lc, and 50h. Any suggestions as to what to load on what?

I was thinking about 20# braid on the line counter, 20# and 40# mono on the squidders, 65#braid on the lever drag and something heavy on the 50h. I usually use the line counter and lever drag when on the yak for fly line and dropper looping. Not sure what I'll do with the others, maybe throw irons?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated. I'm heading on a 1.5day trip in September so hopefully I'll put then to the test on some dorado and yft.
