Mirage Drive Bushings!

The Mirage Drive use to annoy me every time it made noise while I was pedaling it fast and hard. So, I came up with a simple solution to make the drive fit more snug, pedal with less noise, and help reduce the stress on the front of the drive well.

I cut a couple 3/4" pieces from my old garden hose to make bushings to perfectly fit over the ends of the drive unit. It's super simple and cheap.

I even made a few extra for other Hobie pedalers like Frankfishing, Zeelander, Danglin, Kevin, and Yakuza.


I've using them for several months now, and they work!

I like the "teeth" on the turbo fins.  Makes 'em look fast!

Awesome upgrade Chuck! I'm always hoping they'd make a small boot to fit around the opening around the drive so t could hopefully be a drier ride. Then again all the water around makes for a great livewell.
