They're busting at Mendo!

Didn't plan on hitting the lake this morning but it just felt right this morning. Good thing I went. Big boils right in front of the south ramp. They tore up the topwater. Sean showed up also. Except for another pb fishing it was just me and Sean.
Cold this morning but it was great to finally chase some fish!

Bill. Forebay is ripening as well. Don't tarry--get that paddle in the water soon down there. I may well go next weekend--family watns to camp and we may camp there--they can go to Pinnacles for the day and I can fish

Cruised out to Mendo as well but I had the Kids with? I was just an observer this AM..  I saw the Juan and Sean Show in full affect..  My WAF account was overdrawn and I was starting to go negative....  By the afternoon I was able to score a few points so like a good Junkie (fish Junkie) as soon as I got it... I used it......

Hit the SBR around 3pm, and started to drag a minnow.  I saw tons of little boils all over the SBR buoys.  After a while I realized they were not stripers but big smallmouth feeding on the shad.  there were hundreds of boils going on all around me.  I got 2 Nice ones to the yak and another one spit my minnow at the side of the yak.  I caught them on a blue/silver Zara Spook.  Any top water minnow will work.

I met Sean, Jelly, and Sean's father in law near the SBR, Mako also rolled back out.  Within minutes Sean's father in law hooked a nice striper.  NEWBIE luck, and it was his birthday.....

The wind and black clouds rolled in and it got cold.....

            Good job and way to get them when they want to get got?
