I'll be going to Miami on business 3/12 - 3/14.  Short trip, but I plan on finishing my work first day so that I can relax the next 2 days.

I've been to Jacksonville and Orlando, but not Miami so don't know what to expect.   Anyone know of any decent areas to try and fish from shore?   Preferably salt water, but freshwater is cool too.  I will have access to a car so something within 1-2 hours of Miami area would be cool.

Also any must have food recommendations are always appreciated!  Gotta eat right?   :smt005

Thanks in advance!

I believe the canals around Miami have Peacock bass in them. I wish I could tell you more but its a fish you'll never forget about. See what you can find out.

I just googled peacock bass in Miami, you should check it out.
