Hey to everyone,  I’m new to this group and I want to say thanks  for letting me join.  I live in the Bay Area and mostly kayak the Bay.  But I would like to try the ocean for lungs and rock fish.  Looking to learn something new from this group.  Thanks again

Welcome, learning the bay myself...much to catch in this vastness of H2O...

Welcome!

There is a big event at Albion on 7/21-22 to clean up urchins. you'll meet a bunch of kayakers, divers, spearos, fishermen etc. I recommend you bring your kayak to that, meet some people and help clear them urchins! We need as many kayakers as possible to help take the urchin bags from the divers to the boats. hit me up for more details if you're interested!

Welcome guys! I also live in the Bay Area. I haven't been out in long time. Illness of a family member, and the aftermath. Look forward to getting back out on the water. Look for Hook Ups, check the weather, dress to go in (no one wants to, but you need to be ready for it). You can go cheap on a lot of things, but your safety gear should not be one of them.  That doesn't mean go buy the most expensive thing out there, but look for good things that can make a difference.
