I have a Malibu X-Factor for crabbing and local rockfishing but I am also interested in a yak that is good for touring (less work to paddle for distance) and can secondarily function as a fishing platform.  I am considering the Cobra Tourer and the RTM Tempo.  Does anyone have experience with both yaks?  I am particulariy interested in their seaworthiness, especially their tippiness.

Interesting comparison, the two seem highly similar. I have paddled neither but read some reviews expecting the RTM to be heavier but the listed weights are very close. Your paddling first approach is admirable.
