Got my new 9ft 5 weight 4 piece graphite fly rod tonight. Tossed on a 5wt weight forward floating line and did about 50 casts. OMG is this rod sweet, effortless, and accurate upwind and downwind, so balanced. My old rod is junk compared to this one. I can't wait to get it on the water

Well I spent a day on Rancho Seco and two days fishing the west fork of the Carson and an afternoon on Bear Reservoir.  I used  small poppers on Rancho Seco and caught one bass and two bluegill, on the Carson i fished both nymphs and dry flies with some nice trout on the dry  and out on Bear i used a fast sinking line and a clouser minnow.  i love this rod. I was able to put my flys and poppers really close to the spots where I wanted them to land with ease. the balance was great. For the Carson this was exactly the rod i was looking for. two thumbs up

Is there a store that sell this line of rods?
Did you try one out prior to ordering?
Cheers

I was looking for a pack rod, this one caught my eye and I did an online search for reviews.  there were some shop reviews on youtube and the other reviews I read were quite positive.  I went on ebay and saw this for $70 including shipping and said why not.  They seem to be an eastern us shop item nothing local that I know of. I'm in livermore if you want to take a look at mine or if you are around I will be at our office in San Ramon (By the conference center on camino ramon) Sunday morning and can bring it with me
