Doesn't look bad!  Reminds me I wanted to try and catch and cook them off the wharf this year, but barely fished from it.  Friend of mine swears by pickling them, I couldn't stand it though  :smt005

I fish for crab in less than 70 fow, and the standard size promar ambush hoops I have need no extra weight when deployed to stay in place.

The Harvest Moon will be this Friday if you have time to view it from a good spot it's usually a great sight at sunset. Have any plans to view it?

Fishing Tournaments and Events / Re: MBK DERBY! September 16, 2023

Trolled deeper water to Tioga st. then come in and worked depths from 40-70.  Had an impressive catch of good quality rockfish, 5 vermillion, one quillback, a 30" ling, and I'm pretty sure a small boccacio. That ling gave the only hope of the day for a good fish, and I swore all the way up it was a halibut  :smt044. Thanks Adam and MBK for keeping the dream alive.  So enjoy getting together on the beach meeting new people at the launch.  Then coming back to tell tales of the day while consuming food and drink and googling over giant halibuts.  it's the stuff life is made of. those butts were biggest I've seen in person.

paddler, quick tip if you are going to use the quote reply function, it's sort of like code and you have to keep the end part or make sure that the original reply ends with [/quote]. I fixed your above message so you can see
