https://www.grainger.com/product/BANSBACH-EASYLIFT-Gas-Spring-6EYH8

Here’s for starter. You can go stainless but it’s 115$ each.
Drilled the huge rivets out and hacked/put together threaded rod as rivet replacement. Nuts used on each side to hold the rod / strut together are like t bolt type. I think it’s 1/4x20 size.
It works but I wish I used the 120lbs coz I only used the 100.
Carries the Outback not bad.
PS if you gonna go diy route. The gas springs needs to be compressed and it’s basically a Hail Mary that the straps you use(I used racheting strap and hacked wire hanger to compress) hold up.. if not it might explode on your hand or something or maybe not.

One billion $ budget for this year alone?

How many coast guard employees are there? Are they state employees basically?

Best setup I’ve seen is Greg Blanchard guy on YouTube. Torqueedo e.motor 3hp with almost lightweight native 10 ft kayak.

Got both Pfizer shots(2nd shot First week of Feb). No after effects thankfully. Second shot did hurt more than the normal flu shot like being punched on the shot site.

Man the blowout made the game boring.
Looks like KC needs more experience compared to the old veterans of TBucks. KC defense looked cocky and childish at the end and penalties. OL corners was funny! You can’t really blame Mahommes running like a chicken. At least he runs and gets sacked looking confident compared to pretty boy JimmyG(waste of money). Go niners!

Will connecting the a door or two with rotting cord suffice as an option instead of hacking the ring out?

My conclusion to this whole river salmon thing, get ready for SF bay 2021 salmon season..😂
I caught one of the banks down Freeport Last Friday in around noon. One hr before high tide. Started 9am. But two times I went to SF past two years I caught one and a limit. Didn’t get to go this year tho.
The drive makes me lazy and the sensitivity of people about the “spots” kinda made me lazy.. it’s not welcoming anymore..

What about the Redding store?   Great folks at Headwaters.   First class

The Redding store will remain open. It is owned and operated by Bryan (spelling?).

Since he is still a kayak seller/distributor, will he be leaving at least one of any pedal kayaks he carries and sells at the Lodi Boathouse for rental demos? And if you happen to like one, order straight from him through his social media accounts?

Thule hullavator has been my go to.. I used it with the 2019 outback so an AI is featherlight compared to the awkward outback weight..

Hobie Revolution 11 I mean..

That would drive me a bit nut lol. But like the others said leave a foam block to push those out and baked in the sun for a long time then take it out when time has passed.

Selling a 2016 Yellow Hobie 11 with paddle seat pedal(newer non reverse version). Used coz I sat on it in the living room. For 1600$. I thought I’d throw it out there for you.
Didn’t use it coz a great deal on AI went up and been using it as kayak.

Craftsmen's Corner / Re: Hobie Outback 2020 Scotty downrigger Mount
« on: August 17, 2020, 10:43:48 AM »
Nice design! I myself just made a plate for my Craigslist acquired Scotty 1060. Made it out of a plastic leftover chopping board from Ross. At a 45 degree angle(weight closer to center of kayak). Now I’m brainstorming how to make a rotating mount lol.
