I just received information from the new Gyppo Brewery in Shelter Cove that they will be open Thursday through Monday.  This is great news but I'm traveling to the cove on Wednesday and would like to pick up a growler from somewhere on the way.  Hopefully not far off of 101.  Can anybody suggest a good brewery to stop at on the way?  Maybe a lunch stop and a growler to go?  I will be traveling north on 101 so I'm looking for somewhere south of Garberville.

Thanks,

Martin

Martin,

Russian River Brewery in Santa Rosa off 101

You can get Plinney the Elder and Blind Pig

Thanks Antonio.  That might be the perfect stop.

Thanks Howard.  That's about the time I expect to be traveling through there.  I called them and they will fill unlabeled growlers with Pliny or Blind Pig for $18.00.  They sell the "plain" growlers for an additional $10.00.  I have 2 blank growlers that I will be bringing and will likely buy a collectible one from Gyppo, to add to my collection.   No sense drinking bottled beer when great draft brews are available!

Martin,

If you stop at RRBC would you mind picking up 2 bottles of consecration?  I can pay in cash money or oysters.
