The article says “yakoff” is derived from “knockoff”. Maybe it’s just me, but “knockoff” was not the first thing that came to mind when I read “yakoff”...

That was gold. My buddy followed along in his sundolphin for a few trips. It was the only kayak he had ever paddled and complained constantly about how unstable it was. I didn't believe him until I tried it. Totally yakked off. Lol
