For appetizers, my vote went to Allen's Salmon-Jalapeno dish  :smt007  And second place was Allen/Polepole's Smoked Albie Pot Belly  :thumleft:

I second the steelhead cheeseball...

Those who left when the event was "over" missed out... the afterparty rocked.

Thanks to Janice, Linelle, MrsFisHunter Barbara, Sara, Anita and the other ladies for bringing some class to the event.

Lots of cute kids running around, and a record number of dogs.

Had some DEEP conversations about life and death and real estate... and laughed so hard I almost pee'd.

Good times!

It's fun watching Art watch everyone else because he's always thinking something funny.

Thanks Chuck, Hobie, Bill, and congrats to the Top Ten!

As a newbie to the group I see I'm going to have to lift my game in the food department.  You guys know how to eat (and drink and fish and...)

Thanks for the good time.

A great way for me to kick off my 40th birthday celebration!

A fantastic food spread. Adam's fajitas with the hot salsa were killer! Smoked rockfish, sausages, cupcakes! The Leepin salmon cream cheese ball was so good I was afraid there was a hook buried inside it! :smt044

All I wanted to do was burn up the afternoon sippin beers with my fishing homies, but alas I had a prior engagement so I had to settle for a soda and an early departure:smt012

Huge congrats to the dynamic duo, Patrick & Allen. You guys show us how much the rest of us have to learn but you also show us what can be achieved.

I had so much fun hanging with all of the regulars Ben & Anita, Ariel, JTF, Martin, Howard, Barbara & Adam, EricB & EricEWB. Huge thanks to Bill, Chuck, Adam & everyone who pitched in to make this another good one.

Onward & upward to a 2010 season! See you on the water.

Carrie & Duke & I had a great time this year. Thanks for picking such a perfect spot Chuck. Thanks to Bill for making it happen. Thanks to everybody who contributed to the potluck...exceeding expectations once again. And thanks Howard for taking that beautiful photo of me & Duke--that one is going on the fridge! It was cool to meet my fishin buddies' families. Thank you to all of the AOTY sponsors. Congrats to The TOP 10--each and every 1 of you! Bummed I had to leave before the afterparty, but I'm confident ya'll managed to have a good time despite my absence lol.
Good Luck to everyone in 2010!

Seeing all of our members, their families, and dogs enjoying themselves makes the effort all worth it for me!

I need to send out a big THANKS to all who attended and made it a great time.  Also.....

- THANKS to all of the NCKA members that brought goodies to the potluck and helped me out with set-up and breakdown.
- THANKS to Hobie for sponsoring NCKA's AOTY tournament for the 2nd year in a row.  Those are some sweet cooler bags!
- THANKS to prize sponsors like Kokatat, KunzReelRods, Qualifier105, Wheeleez, Deadly Duo Lures, and Amadeo Bachar (for those beatiful paintings).
- THANKS to our other schwagg bag sponsors like Walton's Pond for the big box of Storm swimbaits, and Hook One for the key chains.
- THANKS to Howard "Hojoman" for the calendars and for being our official AOTY Awards photographers.  Keep those great pics coming.  Can never get enough!
- THANKS to Sean "Piscean" for making the best kayak fishing derby plaques ever.
- THANKS to Bill for making the NCKA community all possible.

CONGRATS again to Patrick, Allen, Juan, and other top 10 AOTY finishers!
