Hello all,
I am looking for some information on Timber cove.  I spoke to Brenda today and she set us up at a camp spot on the beach away from the wind.  Can anyone give me info on this place.  I looked on Yelp and found reviews but they range from 1 star to 4 1/2.  I am just looking for a place to chill for a day or so and fish off my kayak.

A quick search on these, here boards will yield LOTS of info.  It's pretty popular amongst much of the NCKA crowd.

If you are a no frills guy, TC is great. Great launch. Facilities are dated, but if you don't expect a red carpet and want peaceful, picturesque scenery, you won't be disappointed.

camping at the launch is really sleeping in your truck, no sites per se.
there is one spot.
f you do set up where you park , be prepared to wake up with autos parked every where. and moe trying to fit in. if i was looking for a more traditional camp i would go up top.

There's also 1 site on the road down to the beach but you'll get headlights to the face at the butt crack of dawn!

IF you want to camp on the beach, camp south away from the launch.  Just pick a spot and put your tent up.   There is one space that is nestled in the rocks on the
north side, Napa Justin likes that spot.  Up on  the bluff there are about 6 spots with electricty and water.
Port a potie on the beach, and heads and showers up on the main campground.  If you catch a lot of fish, give Brenda a filet or two.   It's a good way to make  friends with her.

Good  luck.

Granted I've only camped there once, but camping on the beach was nice!  Other campers but otherwise no traffic.  Play it by ear until you arrive.  As previously mentioned, if you can camp off to the left, that was best in my opinion.

Camping on the beach is peaceful and serene.  Who cares if you get woke up early, you should be up anyway getting ready!

You can camp anywhere on the beach, she charges a little extra for the "one" very cool spot, but Ive seen twenty tents on the beach. We had to take our yaks off the beach so more could pitch on Labor day one year. The bluff is better if its crowded imo.
