Are you kidding?  You use the 12' Pro Angler barge instead of an Outback or Revo?

Cuz Hobie smokes all the others easily
Hobie Outback  hull- 18lbs rigged w/ drive- 99lbs.   2017-$2499
Hobie Revolution 11 hull- 60lbs  fully rigged w/ drive- 81lbs. 2016 $2199
Hobie Revolution 13 hull- 70.5lbs fully rigged w/ drive- 88lb. 2016 $2349
Hobie Revolution 16 hull- 75.5lbs fully rigged w/ drive - 92lbs. 2016 $2499

Yeah I believe that's partially due to inflation and partly due to the 180 drive upgrade. Might make older models cheaper though so that's a plus.

That is a great list.

Any places near the Bay Area (SF) where one can test as many Peddle Kayaks as possible?

I am leaning towards a Pro Angler or a Outback but want to make sure I tested other options as well.

Thanks.

Does anyone have any experience with the Perception Pescador Pilot? Just wondering why its so much cheaper than anything else. That does make it a tempting option for a guy looking for his first fishing Kayak.

It is less expensive for a couple reasons. It has fewer features than other kayaks. It is the entry line brand for Wilderness Systems, so they keep the price down to get people into the family. Fewer features and accessories means that there is less labor involved in producing it. As far as how it works, it is nice. I have been on it.

CCK (california canoe & kayak) at Jack London Square, Oakland.  Thats where I picked up my (new) 2016 demo Outback.  Only been out 2 times (5 1/2 hrs and 4 1/2 hours)so far this year.  Got a 16 inch hali both times at the Alameda Rock Wall.  After 7 years paddling I'm waiting for more times peddling!

There is so thing as peddling a kayak.  Peddle means to sell something.  These kayaks have pedals.

why is it weighed with the pedal drive? who carries around a kayak with the pedal inside of it? who cares how much it weighs on the water, these aren't race cars  :smt044
