Eddie Ill come fish with you! I'm not sure how the water is going to be. There was a pretty nasty algae bloom going on recently. As soon as this heat wave is over I'll be back up there and I'll get you some up to date Intel. In that area I would head towards windflower point if you want to fish docks (how's your skipping game?) or rattlesnake island has some rocky areas that should be good too. It's some deeper water in that arm so that's good for the heat of summer. If you have a cabin on the water fish at night for catfish. Also if there are lights on the docks it will attract bugs, which will bring in minnows, which brings in crappies.

Er, Library Park to Rocky Point was a bust about a week ago. High water temps, dead vegetation, lots of algae. 3$'s plan sounds good

We were at Clear Lake recently and had a guide for 2 days, June 12-13th. From the experience, a boat/kayak/innertubie..etc is what's needed. Our guide said there were too many weeds to see any fish on the fish finder and he just fished his same spots. We fished mostly in between the docks of other people's houses and then some weed lines. There was three of us.

First day my mom caught her PB bass, a 9# on the dropshot. The guide preferred drop shot with green pumpkin senkos which is way too boring for me. Great for mother who can not cast for the life of her. However, I went to CL to learn topwater so I threw Rico poppers all day. Practice makes perfect! We stayed at the Worldmark time share, where the guide picked us up. We worked all the docks going to the north tip of the lake. Then packed up and moved to these two tully lined edges on the west side of the lake right above Berger Bay. There are some rock areas right in front of the tully area marked by wooden sign post which are a good area for bass. The winds dictated where we fished since I was on the popper. Finished with 21 bass, all taken on drop shot except 4 which were on the popper. Big fish were 9# and a double up of 5#s.

Second day, it was almost exclusively topwater. With the exception of a few fish in the early morning, the wind free day, was perfect for popping. It does get tiring though. I caught my fair share of docks, boats..etc, lolol,  but I got 9 on topwater and the action was consistent throughout the day. Most of these fish were caught at the same docks as the previous day. Finished the day with 17 fish, with largest being in the 3# range.

After the guided trip we fished a bit near sunset at the Worldmark dock and then at Lucerne Harbor Park. First day I got a nice bass on chatter bait with craw trailer at the park dock.

I brought my sucide ducky which is super cute, especially when swimming, but no one wanted to eat her!!

So awesome Pokie and thank you for sharing!  I caught my first bass at that timeshare and it turned me into the fishing fool I am today  :smt044

I would just focus on having a good time with family rather than    numbers caught. FYI, this is my second time going out for bass and my mother's first. Initally, the guide did not want to let me use a popper and told me that it would probably not work. On the second day, boy was he happy I am a stubborn die hard. The other guide boats had hardly any action since they were all on drop shot while I had 20+ blowups but only half committed. He kept telling me to "get another one" and increase our final tally which he posts on his FB page for marketing, lolol. My mindset was that if I even caught one bass on top water, the trip would be a success. Of course, watching my mother who does not know how to fish at ALL catch that pig, which she thought was fore sure a weed, was priceless.😇

After reviewing the footage, there were a few houses/areas which were especially good producers going north from  Worldmark. They had extended tully areas and some houses with sloped backyards. The pig was taken at the second more southern tully edge by Berger Bay.

Hope that helps!

I would fish towards wildflower, and drift back to your launch, wind will be in your favor. Yesterday 7/3 the water looked thick with a page bloom. Use bulky and loud baits.
