This might help out some of you that post a lot. There is a Quick reply option that is not turned on by default. What quick reply does is place a box at the bottom of each page in the topic and lets you type in a reply and post it right away. Very handy for replies that don't need pictures or emoticons. To turn it on:

1. Click the Profile button on the top button bar (should be next to "Search")

2. Click "Look and Layout Preferences" on the left of the page.

3. Down towards the bottom you will see "Use quick reply on topic display:" set it to "show,on bt default"

Reply away!

Bill,
I was wondering if you could take the post that Chuck E and I wrote on Clam digging at Tomales and put it up as a "How to  Article".  I think you can find it under the Clam digging Tomales Bay report from a few weeks ago.  Thanks.
Dave

It is titled "Tomale Bay Clam digging Wed. 19th."
Chuck put a link on there to the tutorial.  I just don't know how these things become tutorials in the right section.
Thanks,
Dave

Bill,
Now that we have so many active menbers, what would you think of doing like Coastside and have Fishing Reports Saltwater and Fishing Reports Freshwater?

Is there some catagory of posts entitled "How to ..." that I'm not seeing, or do I just search using those words as a beginning?

"General fishing tips" or "Gearing up" would be good places for "How To's" I would think, Tom.

Bill,
Just wanted to personally thank you for all your hard work. For someone like me this is a haven for those questions that make things productive and safe. I am one who has learned from the school of hard knocks (UCHF...Knocks) which by the way tuition fee is to dam  high.  :smt010
One idea that I have since the enrollment here is getting higher is a Safety forum for those more experienced can chime in for those of us with lesser skills. Say like the proper way to approach launch/land at Bean Hallow. I have the resources to get Scallen out with me however, there are those who do not or won't. Maybe an anonymous board of sorts where the ego doesn't need to be challenged. The higher the enrollment the higher the odds go up for both good and bad.
I maybe barking up the wrong tree but coming from a background where training equals safety ,and still accidents happen, I thought I would throw this in the mix. I love this sport and your site has made it a way to approach Kayak Fishing with information that has helped immencely.
So again thanks Bill and everyone else for putting this togeather. Frankfishing

Good idea Frank, the safety info is somewhat scattered around. Let me think about it a bit and see if I can come up with something that makes sense.

Bill, I am also having problems with the avators button like mickfish. They are replaced with a square and red x
