I broke the key on my hatch.  By the way what are they called?  Dog Key?
My best idea to fix it was to buy a .40c metal plug to fill the hole.
See pic.  Does anyone else have a better idea on how to fix the locking key hatch?
Are there replacement parts out there?
Thanks

You might want to PM Sean (scwafish) he might be able to point you in the right direction for replacement parts. I am sure Cobra has a few of those laying around the shop.

Malibu should be able to hook you up if you bought it new.  remember its a lifetime warranty.

I have some of those lying around, I always strip them out of cracked lids etc. before they hit the trash.  Send me the particulars and I'll send ya one for a Fosters on the water (aka the guide fee).

Actually I contacted Malibu Kayaks and they will ship one to me.  Thanks for the offer. :smt001

Whew!  I thought I was going have to pay $75 for a new one. :smt004

Make sure you tell MK that you have an older style "Viking" hatch.

I sent them this pic, and later in the day I sent them another pic of the entire hatch.
Hope that works.
