The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
Of the big lake they call Gitche Gumee
Superior, they said, never gives up her dead
When the gales of November come early.

It was a good read and the sidebars listing the shark attacks and 'coverups' were very interesting (and scary) as well.  I have a problem with this though:  the whale got stranded naturally, the sharks came to eat it naturally, last I heard there was no un-natural overabundance of tiger sharks, so this guy is kill-happy in my book.  When I get eaten by a shark you can refer back to this and my other posts to keep the shark-hunters from wanting to get retribution.   :smt001

He did seem a bit overenthusiastic about killing large sharks, and seemed to advocate their erradication.  But still, doing battle like that sounded awful exciting!

Some of the photos were really cool too, there's one where he has a jaw that the teeth of which fit perfectly into the holes in a chomped surfboard.  Appearantly he nailed the culprit.
