Well not actually "New".  My name is Robert, 55 years old, married with 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren.  Been fishing for the past 50 years and about 5 in a kayak.  Currently fishing from a Stealth 14.  Fish mostly Saltwater but will fish anywhere there is a bite.  Look forward to posting some adventures from So Cal as I live in Simi Valley.

Tight lines.......

Fish the Malibu coast mostly.  Usually have a week or two camping at Refugio State Beach in the summer (Near Santa Barbara).  Fished the central coast a couple of time this summer and plan to make more next year.  Fished Cambria and MDO both were fun.  Lakes, mostly Lake Irvine, no cost for the kayak launch and they have a nicer grade of fish.  It is one of those Pay like $23.00 and you are in places.  They have a place to get a burger, fries and a cold one on tap for lunch so that is a bonus.  I live near Lake Castaic but they put you through the ringer by inspecting for the muscle thing.  I might have to deal with it due to the recent Striper bite going on.  Need to fish the salt a couple more time prior to the first.

Tight lines,

Welcome MrPukaShell!  Glad to hear reports from down south.  How is fishing at Refugio?  I pass that campground all the time when I visit my daughter in Ventura.  Always wanted to check it out but never did.  Have you ever heard of Puka Shell Beach?

Welcome from the Central Coast here. Not everyone here is way up north. Al though I'm a little jealous of them. But we have good fishing too just our shell fish can be different. They have Dungeness Crab. We have a few of those here and rock crab. but in your area there are Lobsters as well. Some are in this area as I have seen dead ones on the beach here. Someday I hope to go up that way.
