Personally, I would LOVE to see a great white, as long as I'm not diving...From a kayak would be pretty damn sketchy. If i were in a sizable boat, I think I'd feel pretty safe...

I was unable to read this article. Did this GW snap a ling at the Islands or near by?

Fishing right at the islands, pulling up a 28"-30" ling when a 18' GW decided it needed a snack.

Those stories have me a little more motivated to get to testing my homebrew shark-shield for the kayak.   Imagine if the bugger landed in your lap...

Tow around a 'baby seal' decoy that is studded with 10 penny nails.  Teach the buggers that kayaks don't play.     Might retrieve some toothage from a wooden decoy too, that'd be sweet.
