Im going out of Santa Cruz Harbor tomorrow to try out my new rod and reel. Carmel will be too nuts tomorrow with the golf tournament going on. Anyone know of a good spot for rock cod in the Santa Cruz area???

If you can locate south rock, that area can kick out some fish, but it gets hammered by the skiffs.  Try the kelp beds along west cliff. Also drifting at the mile bouy can occassionaly result in a legal ling, or even a flattie. Can head to the south and hit the pleasure point area too. Good luck.
