Man, he is adorable.  I'll bite, did you build his rod?

I just got my 2 yr old Owen his first fishing rod this weekend (I thought it was time he stopped abusing my nice fishing poles.)  Anyway, so far he's only done a bit of reeling practice and he really likes to sit in the tank well of my kayak.

My first fishing yak was a Malibu 2XL. We had a family fishing tournament at DV and the first team to catch a fish could name the yak. My daughter Erica and her friend Alex caught a #4 LMB and ended up naming the yak "Great Bass 2" which I used as my screen name.

My son's first saltwater kayak adventure was on Monterey Bay with Alien and Marmite. As usual, he outfished me with this nice vermillion.

Carson and I went fishing at the Foothills regional park yesterday in Windsor hoping for some bluegill action... we were pleasantly surprised by this nice LMB.

Carson did a good job reeling it in with just a little assistance from Dad.  Quite a fight on his little rod.
