Lodi Paddlefest/ Big Bass Challenge April 16th 17th

Headwaters Kayak and the City of Lodi are teaming up again for our second annual Lodi Paddle Festival. This year we are doing it over two days to allow more people to come out and enjoy Lodi Lake and the Mokelumne River.

Here are the details:
Saturday April 16th we are doing a demo day on the lake with all of our kayak and SUP vendors on site to answer questions and to show off all the new product. The event starts at 10AM, Music starts at 12:00 and Food Trucks will be there from 11-4. Come out, bring the family and spend a day at the lake. We'll provide the entertainment. Event ends at 5.

For those with RV's we rented out the RV site on the North side of the park. This is RV Camping only, but its surrounded on 3 sides by the Mokelumne River and it has a large BBQ area with a group camp fire pit. Most of us from the shop as well as industry reps will be camping out and having a good time. Fees for full hookups are $40 per night and we can only stay Friday and Saturday Night.

Sunday the 17th will be the day of our Big Bass Challenge. This is a simply CPR tournament with the top three anglers with the largest bass win gift cards to the Headwaters Kayak Shop.
First Place $250
Second Place $150
Third Place is $75

All photos must be taken on a Hawg Trough which can be rented for the day for $5 or bought for $20. All fish must have closed mouths. James AKA Gecko will be the director for the day, so he will check you in and handle the weigh ins at the end of the day.

If a tournament isn't your thing, we will also be having instruction, and SUP races going on all day. Paddling Clinics range from Intro to Strokes, Rescues, Advanced Boat Control, Intro to SUP, Intro to fishing from a kayak.

To Participate in the Festival you will need to buy a wrist band. Wrist bands are for sale at the event for $10 and are good for both days. Or lieu of the fee you can also donate a PFD to the Clements Fire Dept, Kids don't Float program. They will be collecting PFD's both days and those PFD's get used all summer as loaners for the Mokelumne River.

Judging by the photos, I'm assuming that the date is Saturday the 16th of July and not April's 16th.

HOW will have an info booth there this year. We will also selling kayak and paddle raffle tickets. Some shirts and hats too. Thanks Dan

How does it work this year to reserve for the RV camping?  Last year I called Headwaters with a credit card.
