Hey gang!

We are already deep in the planning stages for TRW7 and always looking to improve the event for everyone.  One of the biggest concerns from last year was the date being real late in the season.  Well, we're going to change that this year and we'd like your input on date possibilities.  We would like to shoot for August or early September at the latest, unless any of you think it should be earlier.  Obviously we don't want to compete against other tournament dates but we would like to get the date set in stone as soon as possible.  Hopefully, Mother Nature and the Fish Gods won't dump a fat storm on us this year!

So, have at it and let us know what you think!

Tight lines all!

Jef,

Greg was talking about talking about it at the lcka meetups in april and may.  That does seem kinda late tho, now seems better.

Last year there was literally a typhoon on the scheduled date.  Nothing you can do about that tho.

The weekend after labor day was good, not sure why we ever went away from that one.  It's before deer season starts.  The only time I've ever missed TRW was becasue of deer season.  The only time I ever had to find a different teammate was because it was held in deer season a different year.

Don't schedule it during B zone deer season.  Pretty please and thank you full stop.

I actually would not hate an early november TRW since we have an extended season this year, but I think attendence would suffer if you did that.  This year's did take on a whole mushroom hunting afterparty though since it was so late in the year, maybe make it about mushrooms too and have it late?  Or have a second event like Ruben's simply, with a combo mushroom and crab aspect.  DUnno.

Anyway, make it the weekend after labor day every year and call it good is my vote.  But whatever you do, quit holding it during B zone deer season.  THat sucks.

+1 on September.  Or even sometime in August.  Those months tend to have the best weather of the year.

Any idea on the B-Zone opening date for this year?  Last year it was September 16.

I'm not sure I've been clear on this, so I would like to reiterate that under no circumstance should you hold TRW during deer season.

Thanks.

If it's to be in September, please keep it at least two weeks on either side of Simply Fishing, which I believe is on the 23rd. If given my druthers, I say hold it in mid to late August, it gives enough gap from Albion and Simply.

So that means it will open on September 16 this year.  OK!  Now we are getting somewhere!

Well, 37 days not 35.  Through the weekend.  So October 22 is closing day.
