Hi all,

I just bought a used car (Mazda 6) and it came with a fairly new Thule 480 R (and the bars, I think they are these: https://www.rackattack.com/base-roof-rack-systems/bare-roof-mount-rack-systems/thule-480r-rapid-traverse/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=ppc&utm_content=Thule+480R+Rapid+Traverse&utm_campaign=brand+item+three+-+Top+Brands+-+search+-+broad+-+Enhanced+CPC)

I am planning to buy a fishing kayak in early 2018. I want to make sure that I am ready. So, I am wondering if this set up would be ready for a Hobie Outback, Pro Angler 12/14.

What do I need else? Who could help me with this?

Thanks!

This is a bit unrelated to your question but figured I'd mention it.

I am new to Kayaks - just bought my first, but you may want to move a little earlier than 2018 on the kayak. It's end of season right now and a lot of kayaks are heavily discounted. I am not sure how long that lasts but I saved $500 on mine.
