Just got my new boat today and im pretty excited to get the thing in the water and shoot some fish.   Got one of the last 2016  orange camo models I could find  after the price dropped,  it was just under 1000 with shipping.  Now its time to add a fish finder and anchor setup and kill some lingcod. Its a world of an upgrade my old scrambler. My  first kayak with real storage and stability. Any recommended acsessories for diving?

Kelp clip, radio,

I store all kinds of stuff in my hull when diving.
Lots of bottled water, snacks, spare fins, spare mask, spare gun.
Plus 27 pool noodles so I know I won't be sinking  :smt001

Congrats on the new yak!

Nice boat neighbor and great choice! Serious upgrade there.

Let's make a trip up north when the season opens.

I will be adding the kelp clip with my anchor set up, and will probably add pool noodles at some time,  i have my radio for my zodiac  that ill throw in there.    I used to strap down my 2 guns to the side of the boat with gear ties and it was a constant pain.   Sounds like i need extra gear to fill the new boat.

Deffinantly got me excited. Ive been reseching between the prowler tridents, and  other brands for about 6 months now, price dropped with the 2017 models out and it was an instant buy.

Don't forget a mount for a dive flag. I was using a DIY mount from a pvc pipe in the flush mount rod holder, but have decided to get a better one from Joe Flores. I love my trident 13.

I'd suggest installing a 5" round deck hatch inside the center compartment. Easier to fit your gun & gear if they're too big for the compartment.

Will doing something like that viod warranty?  My guns arnt close to fitting inside the center compartment but that may be a good post warranty project.

Thanks for the invite but I'm still stuck in remodel land. This nice weather has me itching to get on the water though. Hope you guys have a great day!!

In another month or two we should take the whaler out and look for some early season flat ones.

Talk soon,
-Eliot
