I'm upgrading my fish finder and getting rid of this unit. No problems and comes with the western states lake maps. All for $300. It's a steal.

Thank you so much. I have been trying to mount this thing for a while now. I have it on in reverse but would like to get more space on my deck with proper positioning.  I have been calling metal shops all over the SF area without much success. It should only take a few minutes, hopefully.  I am in San Francisco.  I will DM you to coordinate, thanks again.

Gearing Up and Rigging Up / Vice Grip

Hi ya'll,
 Line
I have a aluminum downrigger mount that's at 90 but I need to bend it back. 20 more degrees. I don't have a vise grip to be able to bend it back. I was wondering if any member on here has a vise grip that could that's available for me to use?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Yes, remove the plate, mount the transducer on the mounting plate, then place the mount back into your kayak with the original screws.

Will do. Waiting on the weather to improve for sure.

It was an easy launch at Fort Baker, easy, free parking.  I unloaded right in front of the ramp and parked right next to the Coast Guard Station.  Just bring all your safety equipment (wetsuit, radio, PFD, etc.)

Once outside of the protected area (cove), I stayed close to the North Tower.  There are alot of strong currents (eddy's) in that area (you can see it from my picture).  Be careful. No much boat traffic that day for me.  I went to Point Bonita and back.  You'll reach another area of strong currents near, Point Diablo.  Be careful there too.  Again beautiful day (watch the weather and tides).  It will be a long day if you're going against it.  It was about 1-1.2kts.

Yes, as simplycook said above. Launch at Fort Baker right next to the coast guard station. I was there yesterday, beautiful. Didn't catch anything but tried, but I really just wanted to check the launch area.

I go out every other Wednesday.  We can meet up one of those times.  Possibly next Wednesday depending on swells.
