Introductions / I’m back!
« on: December 03, 2021, 12:39:51 AM »
Hello fellow NCKA members. I used to fish with a few of you in Fort Bragg 10-12 years ago. I ended up selling that kayak(not stable enough). I am now going to give kayak fishing another go. Just picked up a 2020 Hobie pro angler 12 and can’t wait to get it out! Hope to fish the delta, Berryessa, and San Pablo Bay Area! Any suggestions for my first trip this weekend would be greatly appreciated. Look forward to fishing with y’all.

Edgar

General Fishing Tips / Kayak Fishing in Fort Bragg Area for Newbs
« on: June 25, 2010, 09:49:55 AM »
Hey All,

Im going on Sunday morning for the first time on my kayak in FB area. The only set up i ever used in fb is a High/Low from the rocks, no idea what setup to use from the yak! Any suggestions, diagrams, Links? Anything at all. I have my Penn 5000(spinning) with Power pro 65 or 50 test on a 7' pole. At this point all i know is you drop the line straight down and something about jig heads! I hope to catch my first fish this weekend from the yak!

Thanks!

Hey All,

People have been very welcoming and helpful as i get into the world of kayak fishing. I finally found a break in my busy schedule and hoping i can find a hookup for that day, Saturday 6/19. Please know i'm a new to the sport and hope to ask many questions. If any one plans on going out to one of the following locations, and don't mind some company let know.

Locations for saturday:
Delta

anywhere else not to far from Berkeley CA.
