I'm supposed to fish there on Wed.  12/6.  Prolly will bail if no one can join me.  Have shark shield.  Should I go?  I know the incidents are uncommon.  They just seem more common.  I have some normal fear, but it's a little enhanced...  :shark

Hope he's ok, I was supposed to go out there today but had a late night last night with family and friends so I didn't have my truck preloaded so opted to go tomorrow. Sounds like it's closed? I will hit Corral street instead if any one wants to go. :smt009

on the 11pm news they released some photos.  The victim was a speardiver at stillwater.  Saved by 2 off duty policemen.  He underwent surgery for injury to his leg but did not lose it.  Expected to recover. (Thank God.)  He has a green kayak.

I like to think of all the car recks I have seen over the years and crosses on the side of the road for as the old man told me when it’s your time it’s just your time . Thanks for the heads up that’s sum real sobering Shi#... Is it time to hunt them again or what? There’s no getting around it there are a lot more of them now and are moving to popular places for people just watch shark week.. ok well god bless the Vic hopefully a speedy recovery and thankfully he had a friend.

1. Original post has the guys leg bitten off.

2. Later reports state shark bite in upper thigh with leg intact.

3. Instagram vid states two divers in zodiac diving deep.

4. Then another post stating victim diving off a green kayak.
This info I'm guessing was gathered from arial vid that shows a vacant green yak in shallow water.

Got to love the consistency in these reports.

Anyone have an update?

That’s pretty much every news story ever. There’s what is reported, there’s what is updated, and there’s what actually happened. Literally every single news story I’ve ever been involved in has been misreported in some substantial way.

ThatÂ’s how rumors get started.  This morning the news said two off duties deputies helped the Diver and put a tourniquet on him and brought him to shore.  So maybe it was their boat.  And the people on shore only reported what they saw.

Lots of info here I'm pretty sure I met them once at another dive spot close by. The father and son we met were very experienced divers and very friendly.

This attack has me troubled since I dive it regularly with my son and was there about a week ago and we were planning to hit it again this weekend.

Glad he's going to be OK.

Hoping for a full and speedy recovery.
