CA Regulations / 2018 Sac River Salmon Regs

So a few guides who got out of a meeting just posted this morning the new salmon regs for the Sac River Salmon season. The daily limit has changed from 2 to 1 salmon. At least there will still be a season to salvage for the Sac/delta region this year.

General Fishing Tips / Don't keep the Silvers!

With the wet season we had it apparently brought out the schools of silver salmon thick down to HMB and some running up the sac river. The other day in HMB about 20-30 boats got citations for having silvers in the box thinking they were small jacks. Citations were going for $1500 each! Also saw online a photo from the AR of a silver bled out out and on a stringer with the angler thinking it was a small jack. Just remember to be sure it's a king before you bonk it!

This weekend is the Rio Vista bass derby and it's gonna be a zoo of PB's from Sherman island all the way up to Walnut grove. I'd stay out of this area if you're thinking of dropping your kayak anywhere on the river in this area. Not to mention the horde of salmon trollers. It'll be crazy!!

I have (2) Lamiglas X11 rods for sale. They are Md hvy 12-30# line wt. These rods are one piece and are IM graphite. Length 7' 9". They have 11 guides. Nice for salmon, striper and halibut. Bought last year. Only a year old. Always stored indoors. Need to make room in my tackle storage since I acquired new rods n reels. I prefer glass over graphite.

$80 for both. They retail for $89 apiece.

Have a brand new never used Lowrance scupper hole transducer mount and a Vexilar Tpod for sale. My scupper holes aren't wide enough for the transducer plug to go through.
