The solar cell is a cool idea. It might help someone with limited mobility. Definitely not for me though.

After the article, there are a few comments.
The absolute best comment is, "as retarded as a solar asshat powering a motorized skateboard"!!!!!! LOL!
A solar asshat....Now THAT is thinking outside the box! Hahahaha!

Interesting idea but I too will pass on the Solar AssHat (tm)  :smt005

Our electric tandem Bobcatboat pirogue goes all day with two people and two batteries, ten miles up river and back.  Paddles well too.   Batteries charge at home for a few pennies.   But, like Michael, I like my Hobie even better.  -Matt :smt004

Nice work. I wonder what the range is. I think that the solar cells wouldn't be powerful enough to charge what's being used right away. If it would be possible a solar panel for a bait tank would be cool.
