Eh NCKA Bruddahs,

I recently bought a used Hobie sail from another NCKA Bruddah, bought the new Hobie sail furler kit from Austin Kayak and looked at different posts on NCKA, Hobie Kat as well as pictures and not too good video on Youtube.
The instructions that come with the furler kit does not really do it for me and I don't want to drill any holes in my kayak until I know what the hell I am doing.
Would greatly appreciate any help with a good video, talking to someone who has installed it on their kayak and would mostly want to see a Hobie rigged with this new sail furiing kit.
I live in Oakland and was wondering if there are any Bruddahs in the East Bay that has got their Hobie rigged up with the furler kit as it would help me a lot to see how the whole dam thing works!!!

Mahalo,

I got the small Hobie sail recently and also installed the furling kit on my Adventure (no Island). I've got nothing against drilling holes in my kayak, but managed to do this without any drilling.

I attached a little starboard (plastic) piece up front using some of the molded in bolts, and attached the guide to that. To attach the other end, I made a simple little bungie thing that fits into one of the molded in plastic screw-in things.

I'm sure that's an incomprehensible description, but if you want to see pictures, let me know and I'll post some.
Please don't spoil my day, I'm miles away...
