I'm not a show-guy, but a buddy talked me into going to the Fly Fishing Show in Pleasanton, just to get Ben Taylor's book. His book about Bill Schaadt is mostly short 1st-person accounts from all the guys that used to fish with Schaadt, so there isn't any one "author". But for the most part the accounts are terrific, and many of the pictures have never before been published.

I've been throwing shooting heads for stripers since the mid-90's. It's cool that I can trace my fly-fishing lineage to the pioneers in this book. It's going on my bookshelf next to my Chatham and McGuane collections.

You can get it at billschaadt.com. Ben says the proceeds are going to the Russian River Wild Steelhead Society.
