Hey guys, I've been out of touch on the striper and surf fishing. I used to do good perch fishing around Ocean Beach and San gregorio. My nephew has been trying to get into fishing and so far 0 out of 12 outing. I feel bad that he really wants to like it and I dont want the flame he has burn out. Any intel will be greatly appreciated. Please you can PM me to protect your hidden secrets.  :smt002 thank you so much!!

I've been "vicariously fishing" via this dude here: http://morethanfishing.net/
He seems to know his stuff and he runs a "Striper fishing get-to-together" every so often.
He also has a you tube channel (in the link above), where he teaches people how to set up for Striper fishing.
Plus, he's very good nature way of communication is very infectious...even joyous...

Taking family to either Rio Del Mar or Manresa for some surf fishing this Friday 10/6. I've never surf fished myself and I don't want to disappoint the little kiddos either. Any intel in these areas? any tips/advice on how to surf fish, reading the waves/tides would be much appreciated. I will be rigging Carolinas with Gulp Sandworms (Camo). Thanks!

Darius! I went to Rockaway last Sunday. I caught 3 nice perch at Rockaway. I had 2 rods out. One with sand crab, the other pile worms (my go-to bait for perch) out there. Fish closer toward the rocks by the hotel parking. I never cast more than 10-15 yards out.
If you wanna hit it up, let me know!!

Jeff
