Thats great news Marv! I am thinking about you daily and hoping that everything goes well from here out.  I am glad to know that the suffering you had to endure is doing something positive for you. Can you make it to AOTY at HMB? Do you need a ride? I would be glad to pick you up and take you home. Craig

There is still some residual affected lymph nodes in my neck that may need to be surgically removed.  Doc says that will be determined at a later date - about 2 months.

A month ago, I had a PET/CT scan to check for any residual cancer.  The good news is that the chunky lymph nodes on the right side of my neck didn't come up positive on the PET scan.  The somewhat bad news is that a small spot on the left side of my neck lit up on the scan.  The Dr then scheduled me for surgery, and it was pending on review from the tumor board.

The tumor board reviewed all the data and decided it wasn't conclusive that the spot that lit up on the PET was residual cancer.  To spare me a possibly unnecessary surgery, they decided it was best to wait and monitor the spot that light up on the scan.  It didn't really add up that I would get a residual positive spot on the left side of my neck when 90% of the cancer was on the right side which was now clear.  So there is a good chance it was a false positive.  We're all hoping thats the case.

A MRI is scheduled for June 16th, and I will see the Dr. on the 22nd.  I will have another update then.
