I'm pretty interested in this boat, but the photos make the stern look pretty beat up.  Could be the photo quality.

If anyone in the Santa Cruz area wanted to wander by and check it out (and let me know what shape it's in) I'd be grateful.

hmm doesn't look too beat up to me... looks like standard wear and tear from a few uses.  Of course, seeing it in person is a great idea! Can't tell a ton from the pictures.  Good luck in your search. :smt001

The seller sent more photos and it is normal wear - the color of the hull makes the scratches look worse on the CL ad than they are.

I'm still hoping to find a yellow T13 and for that reason only, I'm going to pass on this kayak, but it's a bargain and the seller is very nice.  If you're after a T13, and not hung up on finding a yellow one, this is a good boat at a great price.

I'm going to regret not going for so many T13's just because of their color.  I know it.

Yellow for visibility?

Yellow so it matches my yellow T11 and I can use all the nicely color-coordinated paraphernalia I have...  Pfff-ft!

Yes, for visibility.

Check out kayakcity.com

I called them and they had some brand new blemished older model Trident 13s.

I picked up a yellow 2012 with a manta ray paddle for $850 shipped.

I originally was going to go craigslist but it didn't seem worth it to drive 2+ hours as I'm in SF.

I've been talking to them.  Haven't found the deal I want yet, but I keep trying...

Thanks!
