As the subject says, new board member in the North bay area. Saw a couple of guys fishing from kayaks while camping at Stillwater Cove and got super jealous after walking around on shore like an idiot trying to find access to fish from the rocks. Scoured my local craigslist for a good deal and took the plunge on a Jackson Kraken. Looking forward to figuring out how to actually get around in this thing.  :smt001

Welcome! Guessing you scored the 15.5 that was for sale in Healdsburg or the 13.5 that was posted to the classifieds here.  Both were great deals and nicely outfitted. You'll find tons of useful information on this site and plenty of folks to fish with once you get situated.  Good luck and see you out there.

Hey Chargr,

Welcome, and check out the surf zone class being held at the end of the month located in the Safety First section. Eastbayfisher and I will be attending. Think about it if you can get the safety gear together by then.

Welcome!

Correct, medically retired SSgt after 12 years. Got out about 5 years ago.  Let myself get fat and lazy, now trying to combine my exercise with my outdoor fun.

I got out and ran 22 years ago. Kayak fishing scratches the itch.
