Yes you need an NRS farmer John 3mm wetsuit in Santa Rosa. Without one you’re not in the Pacific Ocean or safe and comfortable on FW about half of the year. Paddling pants/dry bottoms are an option with a paddling jacket but will cost more and do less for you as you still would need thermal underwear and aren’t ideal or in some cases safe for the ocean.
