Hi all, my name is Mash and I'm from Santa Cruz. I just picked up a pro angler 12 and I'm excited to get it out on the water. I'm new to kayak fishing so hopefully I can meet up and tag along with you sometime. In the meantime I'll be within eye sight of the harbor trying to figure this thing out.

Welc Me to NCKA!

If you've never been out on the ocean before on a kayak, please be safe, lots of info here on how to prepare going out in the open ocean.

See you OTW.

Welcome Mash!  Ocean can be unforgiving, even on a flat day.  Please brush up on your safety gears and knowledge.  You should consider a safety class.  Also, Bushy (one of our member) is a guide in the Santa Cruz area.  He also has the password to get the fish to bite, especially in Santa Cruz!

BTW, a lot of us considers Santa Cruz as our home water, so watch out for a hookup.

Thanks guys, I took her out on a maiden voyage this afternoon and I will take your suggestions and read up on safety so I'm prepared... but I'm chomping at the bit to drop a line out there. Might go out Saturday to the mile buoy.

Howdy Mash.  Your name reminds me what happens when I sit on one of my bait anchovies.....

I'm in Santa Cruz as well, and post in hookups...

Thanks Bushy! I'll look for your posts. For some reason your name reminds me of an ex girlfriend... can't say why exactly.

Did she sit on anchovies too?
Please don't spoil my day, I'm miles away...

Did she sit on anchovies too?

She was a fan of plastics. But I don't fish with her anymore.
