We're hitting Star bend tomorrow morning at 8, drifting minnows downriver a mile or so paddle back up and repeat. We got into good fish in about 5 minutes last week if anyone wants to join us.

Well that didn't go as planned. My partner forgot his paddle and that set us back an hour, however once we finally hit the water the bite was on. We decided to scratch the long downriver paddle and stay where we were catching. Finished the day with 3 keepers 20-22" and plenty of shorts that were just under.

16 miles, sorry. Plus all the turns etc. Have fun and report back.
We're well prepared to finish by headlamp if needed, there will definitely be a report, I've wanted to do this for 2 years!

You do realize how far that is, correct? It is 20 miles as the crow fly's. My guess is 25-28 miles to do the trip. At 3 mph that will take 8-9 hours. That does to leave much time for fishing. If I were you I would have a plan to get out early and someone to pick you up at another take out. Be safe and take a light with you.
Yep, all taken into consideration, appreciate the concern. [emoji106]

We're in a full size truck and an Avalanche, I think we could fit one more as long as you don't have a PA or other giant kayak.

Does anyone know how long it would take to float/fish the Feather river from Starr Bend to Verona? If no one knows but would like to find out I'll be trying it out with a partner Tuesday if you'd like to join us!
