Get ready for lingcod, and lots of them.  I was down at Point Sur on Sunday in a party boat.  The lingcod were beating up our jigs.  The bit were so hot, we were hot and did not have enough time to take our jacket off.  We must have had close to 20 ling cods landed (of course we release most of them).  I think the ling cods were keeping the other RF away.  Getting the RF to bite before a lingcod hit was tough to do.  I ended the day with 2 good size ling cods, 3 vermillion, and one other RF.  The vermillions were in the 6 lb class.  The colors hot were chrome, and also white.  The hot jig was a white diamond jig with a split robber tail (with the tail clipped on the top of the jig, rather than the normal bottom eye).
I love to join you guys, but my kayak skills are not good enough for that water down there.  Have lots of fun and tell us all about.    :smt003

I was on the Kahuna, out of Moss Landing.  We were a couple miles out of point Sur.  My friend caught a 23lber the week before.  Ling cods were wide open last week too.  I'm going again this Saturday.  It is going o be elbows and assholes everywhere (too many fisherman).  They are going out Sunday as well.  I've put together a fish party for my High School Classmate on Sunday.  Otherwise I'd go Sunday instead.

WEATHER PERMITTING!

Want to run down to one of my favorite go to Verm spots. I am an orphan this Thanksgiving week so what better way to spend it that to fish Central Coast.

If you want to make a run down with me I can make room for another kayak. If you want to meet me there I can PM GPS coordinates.

Leaving at 3am type of day launching at 6am type deal. No Island gear just straight hull, wheeleez, and fishing gear.
Sounds awesome (yes, if the weather permits) & I'm Interested if you still have a room (Split the gas for sure), so please let me know!

Going to have to cancel on my part. My parents called ad said they are coming to visit me for the weekend. Very excited haven't seen them in almost a year.
