mine are not doing the bullseye thing,, guess I got them in time,,

 but they friggen hurt,,,  :smt009

looks like we all needed a refresher on what to do about ticks,,,   :smt006

No bullseye is not a sign that you haven't contracted Lyme.
Get tested ASAP, preferably by this company https://igenex.com/. I have no financial interest in this company; they just offer the most comprehensive testing for Lyme. I was bitten 4 years ago, and the local blood testing company found nothing. I was told about iGenex by a few friends who have been struggling with Lyme (it's fairly prevalent up here in Butte County), and had my blood tested by them. They found that I had it and I was able to be treated successfully.  It's a terrible thing to contract, but fortunately fairly easy to treat with an adequate course of appropriate antibiotics if detected early enough.

We were just down there this weekend (with the dog!). Damn, I better check the kids again. They do say it takes 24 hours to get infected once bitten.

I got a sucker on me weed whacking the yard at Timber Cove (North). I put it in alcohol and sent it to bayarealyme.org. It was free and they test for the 8 different blood diseases you can get from ticks. All negative thank God. Unfortunately, that organization had to halt taking new cases because they were overwhelmed with samples.

Take Lyme's seriously! It can really screw up your life.

In all seriousness, remember to check under the scrotum on men (I have had them there), and for women under the breasts as well.  Not uncommon to also find them hanging out in the buttocks region either.

I've heard that 24 hours is a good rule of thumb for contraction post attachment...
