I just watched the news report video and it looks like she might have been in an inflatable kayak. That might explain why they didn’t know they hit her.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.  ~John Buchan

... I'm going to point the barrel right at him if he gets anywhere near me.

That would be a very bad idea, IMHO.
Please don't spoil my day, I'm miles away...

How can you not notice that you hit a kayak? I don't care if it's a 8ft walmart special, you're going to notice it. If you don't you're either drunk or shouldn't be allowed to operate a boat.

Just this week, I was trolling the Napa river in a bright orange life jacket and had a boater going full speed, buzz pass me by 20ft. Nobody else on the water, and just south of the highway 29 crossing, so lots of room to safely pass. When I threw my arms up in a "wtf" manner before he passed me, the driver flipped me off and his buddy threw his hands up like if he was challenging me to a fight. Then they buzzed me an hour later both of them flipping me off and actually tried to wake me a bit. I'm bringing my .38 with me next week and if I see that fucker again I'm going to point the barrel right at him if he gets anywhere near me. Don't know why I'm sharing this here, I'm just sick and tired of being treated like a nuisance and that my life doesn't matter because I'm in a kayak.
I had a jackass on a no gas lake point his driftboat with an electric troller right st me while in a float tube and say “Better move or I’m running you over” after point a Walter P99 .40 cal at his water line and telling him I’ll defend myself... he changed course real quick and never got within 100 yards of me all day.

Take a GoPro and film the incidents. I find that videos going viral and social shaming is much more powerful.
Let’s see how their boss will react after finding his employee acting like a moron on the news.

Typicallly the stupid behavior stops when the camera rolls. Win win situation for everyone.

You guys are right. And quite honestly I was just venting and got worked up after reading the article.  I am not the type of guy to point a gun at someone because of a past incident. I was being a keyboard warrior to be frank. I might bring it with me from now on, but I'm sure as hell not going to be acting a fool like I said I was.
