I had to work tonight, so I went crabbing!   :smt003

Decided to drop my two square pots outside the King Salmon jetties at 7:30 and pick them up after some office hours.  The incoming tide, relatively light winds, and lack of swell were right for it, and the temps weren't too bad either.  I wore a wetsuit bottom (farmer john), neoprene boots, two t-shirts and a heavy sweatshirt (and my PFD!).  I got the gear set and made it to my office to work on the computer at 8.  Bailed the office near 10 and returned for the bounty - wishful thinking!   :smt009   :smt001  The pot nearer the jetties just had two rockies - one big 5.5"er, and the far pot, which was hard to find - had to use the flashlight!  the far pot had one almost legal dungeness.  I let em all go, but one of the rockies left a claw behind as he left the pot, so I boiled it up when I got home.  Left the kiddos at 6:45 and got back eating a rock crab pincher at 11:20 - got some work done too - it was a good night.

Eric you might have to make the extra 15 minute drive to Trinidad for a good score. I'm hearing from the crabbers down on the docks that this year is sucking so far.
