Registration will be 100$ day of the captains meeting for any late comers and lolly gaggers and you will not receive a captains bag. There will be a raffle with a Hobie outback, Malibu kayak, and much much more.  All proceeds from this event will be donated to HOW. Tickets will be 5$ each so make sure to bring cash!

CSD II Video thanks to Fisheye for being on set.

Pay attention to the sets. There were plenty of times it was calm to land during this large uncalled for swell. Don't just rush the beach if for some reason these conditions rise again. Watch the waves go between larger sets and time your landing.  Also allow time for others to land and move unlike some people last year...

Well, the 2 tournies are 400 miles away from each other. And CSD is the only tourney the CenCal guys host, compared to NorCal's 14 tournies. So I'm sure both will be well-attended and successful. And it means even less competition at the 7th annual MBK tourney in Monterey :-)

Yes, good point.

But I doubt that you need to worry about competition, Pat.

:smt010 But I really wanted to fish CSD III. My yak is built for that launch and landing.  :smt010

The old Sammons La Jolla tourney was discontinued a few years ago.

I can see this tournament to be one that should be every bit as good as albion and shelter cove. I just had my first NCKA event it was great. The pot luck had something for everybody. One guy made Pizzas on a webber. they were great.

...except you can't roll your yak to the launch, Jeff.
and the tournament isn't comprised of 200 people that know each other,
and the launch spot isn't meant to accommodate a ton of yak anglers.
But I hope it grows into an event that rivals Gimme Shelter or Albion.

Hey Derrick or Ryan, the registration forms should probably be posted here too. I still need to print & send mine.

Rhyak is Just setting a date at this point. Hope to keep this simpler then last year just for logistics with his new job and possible busy Summer.
