Saw Black Sabbath with Ozzy,GD

I never saw Gd, but I did see Ozzy with Black Sabbath. I think Humble Pie was there too. At the Old Memorial Auditorium in Sac. I don't remember much of it, my wife does. Cracks our kids up when we told them we saw Ozzy.

On the water a little late this morning, 8:30am, off at 11:45am.
Very little wind this morning, saw one tuber on the lake and one boat trailer at the ramp. Slow start until I worked my way to my favorite spot. Caught 4 in that location. They started small and got larger as I went. Bite turned off, so I fished my way back to the truck. Got to the take out area and had to make that last cast. Thew into a tight little cove in some cover..bam...caught the biggest of the day. Made my day.

Here's the pics:

Not the sand tires, just the regular ones. I'd be doing the "Happy Dance" if they were sand tires.

I was looking for some lead molds for jig heads : http://www.do-itmolds.com/products/jigmolds_i.php?UID=20060807121109209.36.244.254

I was going to bring my lead pot up to elk and pour some heads if people were interested?

I'd like to see how it's done.

I swung by there today. Pretty well picked over, not much left..stems and seeds.

I picked up a few paddle leashes, a pair of black splash pants for $14.

Then i notice a beat up box on the floor. Took a look and... it's a Roleez cart. Everything looked good so I took it too, $89.

Now that we have two carts my son won't have to make extra trips up and down the hill at Elk.

CHUB loves his new paddle and so does Becky

If that paddle has the Chub and Becky stamp of approval, it must be good.

I stopped by CCK today and picked one up. Looks good and the price is right.
Thanks for the tip.

Update 8/6/06: Took the new paddle out for a test drive today. It has my stamp of approval too.

Update 9/4/06: After more use, I retract my previous update. This paddle is a great deal and may work well for other paddlers, but it's not a good fit for me.

I asked the gatekeeper, he said the gate would let me out anytime during the night.

I was off the lake at 9:30 pm, the gate opened to let me out. Hassle free.

On the water at 4:30pm, off at 9:30pm.  Very windy at RS today and it never stopped. Only a couple rafts, pontoons, floats on the lake and they were off early. Caught 4 fish within the first hour, a few more dinks as time went by. Then around 7pm things started picking up. Hooked and lost 5 nice fish in the weeds. 8pm to 9pm caught 5 or 6 in the dark. They sure hit different at night. Had a fun evening. Lots of night sounds and a little spooky when your the only person on a dark lake at night. Had to fight the wind back to the parking lot.

Here's a few pics:

OK.... get well.

Hey Al,If you're in before the gate closes, how late can you stay without hassles?I've never been, but want to check it out someday and into the night.

I'm not really sure what the no-hassle time is. I'll find out tonight and let you know.

I have been there before for picnics and the autogate let us out without any problems.

2939
Forgot to mention: They close the gate at 6pm. Be there before 6 or they won't let you in.
Automatic gate will let you out.

I'm going to swing by RS after work tomorrow. Plan to fish for a few hours, not late into the night. I'll save that for Hogan.

Should be there by 5pm, or a little earlier if I can break out.
Will launch from the north east dirt parking lot. Red SIK, ch69.
Company welcome.
