On top of charging him for the flight I think he should actually be arrested for reckless endangerment for putting the CG rescue swimmers life at risk. An accident is just that this is intentional.

Totally baffling!  He managed to drive into that ditch and put it into reverse long enough to get unstuck, but he just couldn't keep on backing up....

Musta been a suicide thing. Really strange way to do yourself in. Crackers.
