It was just past the turn-of-the-century steam tractor.

My wife and I went to BM on a whim, when i coudn't find any affordable fares anywhere w/ decent fishing. Our friend had bought us extra tickets knowing she could get rid of them if we didn't go. Luckily, she held out and it was one of the best vacations we ever had.
If you haven't gone, you owe it to yourself to check it out - the vibe is very friendly and the art otherworldly. Get a primer from a regular so you come bearing gifts and appropriate gear.
One day I dressed as a working shower (ala Karate Kid) and was the hit of the Critical Tits party, but that's another story...

Was that this past year?
I have not indulged in the madness...but...I DID loan my police-issue megaphone to a good friend who was getting married there 2 years ago. He and his bride said their vows through the megaphone...very loudly...as part of a big group wedding ceremony thing. The video is hilarious!

I love BM. My family used to have a ranch north of Empire so we used to get free tickets. My sister has gone several times and I went for the first time about three years ago. I am trying to get my gf to go with me. It is a great time and I suggest everyone go and PARTICIPATE! Nice to see fellow "burners" here!  :smt006

Likewise on the fellow burners! Its a gas for sure, Ive gone 8 times in ten years and is just another part of our scedule now. I met Anita there 4 years ago, she was a desert mermaid. If anyone wants to check it out, let me know, we have a great camp of folks.
I think John/jdyak might camp with us this year? Mooch?
And, yes, this was this year.

I was thinking of going next year. Keep us posted and maybe we can all hook up. We usually have a great bunch of people there as well.
