Just thinking about youtoday. Clyde died, but our new birdAfrican Gray bit me bad today.

Immediately thought of you.

Bushy
Sorry about that grouchy little bird, he was a funny one,  I still have a scar where he bit me and swallowed the little bit of meat he tore off my knuckle. Grey's are awesome animals. Hope you have been having successful snake hunts. Look what I have around here, Timber Rattlesnakes, Black Rat Snakes and Eastern Milkisnakes!! Lots of others too...Monster Snappers.

Hi everyone, I sure do miss hanging out with all you beautiful people! Even Morales. I was tossing a little 4 lb test for baby bluegills in the Potomac here in Cumberland, and I flushed a Musky the size of me leg. It was over 40" and slowly cruised out to the depths....Made me think about those days when we caught and released 20 big Lings. Tight lines my family, and keep your powder dry!

Hi Ben,
Sounds like you might want to look onto a,load assist system from a maker like Yakima. It brings your cradles down to waist level over the side of your vehicle and it spring and gas piston loaded .

Yes!!!!

Thanx for the heads up Mike! I snatched it up! Great deal, it came with all kinds of new stuff, Garmin FF, sweet paddle running and cockpit light setup, battery, live well aeration, Anchor/mudstick pulley line setup, wheels and a pretty cool homemade outrigger setup. And its all professional setup and rigged out, nothing hokey at all. Very cool dude, lives in a gazillion dollar house on  the water, $950, I didn't haggle. Used a half dozen times in the lazy river in his backyard. Its kind of heavy tho, gonna be a nut buster loading it

Miss all you folks! I guess I could get another prowler for the swamps. Too bad about Malibu I was sold on the new stealth and was ready to put the whole stimulus check into it.

Hows my Pacific side salties doing? Long time but NCKA will always be in my blood, nothing like it anywhere else Ive been. Im in sleepy Cumberland MD and have been in the market for a stealth 12 and can't find one anywhere out here and can't even get in touch with Malibu. I can't fish anymore due to  neuropathy but can paddle my ass off all day. Still have my Revo but Ill be in swamps and creeks and the upper Potomac River. Love you guys. Where can I get a camo stealth 12 at?? Or I guess something similar, the one drawback is they are kind of heavy, Im pretty messed up and hauling even just a 60 lb yak on top of my truck will be pushing it but so worth it. Thanx Salties! Ben

General Talk / Swamp yak?
« on: August 04, 2020, 08:03:10 AM »
Hey NCKA! So Im in MD and my revo is great for open water, not so much for shallow creeks and swamps, so Ill looking for something smaller, one that I can stand in no problem, light. and I suppose I could even get a lower priced walmart yak new but would rather get something like a malabu mini x or even just a little prowler. Any suggestions for a good swamp platform wouldd be taken into consideration....

Hookups and Fishing Reports (Viewable by Public) / Snakehead
« on: May 31, 2020, 07:01:34 AM »
Late post but Snakehead fishing is a gas! Big and toothy like a Ling, topwater bites all year, very clean and firm white flesh, and LOTS of them. This is Blackwater Wildlife Refuge on the Eastern Shore in MD. An hours drive to the Redneck Riviera.

Hello all... Marv has, and always will be a huge inspiration to me. He has fought this thing for a long time with his head high, I wish I could give more than money and my utmost respect. He will be remembered as a true warrior. Ben

The snakehead bite is slow during the winter but you can still get them, however the chain pickerel are always very active. I finally got my license so when Im feeling up to it, Im banging some MD lingcod aka northern snakehead. Ill post as soon as I do it. https://dnr.maryland.gov/fisheries/Pages/snakehead_info.aspx
