For the past 25 years I have been in the fishing tackle buisness (retail) staring at the same four walls while fisherman come in and ask me where and how to catch the next big fish, than the same fisherman come in and tell me how great the bite is while I continue to stare at the same four walls.
At least when the fishing is slow I get a little time to fish untill it gets good than it's back to work staring at the same four walls and telling others where and how to catch them.
The good news is I get to see all the new gear (same stuff with new paint) before most of the rest of the world outside my same four walls :smt044   :smt005  :smt005   :smt003  :smt003   :smt009  :smt009  :smt010  :smt010

How is catfish for fish tacos?

Wonderful. It was a Hispanic friend that showed us how. Catfish isn't very sensitive to over cooking (it stays moist) so it's well suited for tacos.

The trick, in my mind, is to avoid catfish during the hot summer months... June, July, August, September ... They start taking up a flavor like mud/methane. At least in ponds. I don't know about the larger lakes and rivers. If they've been held for a few days in fresh clean water it helps, but still ...

That's b/c it was Bobby Flay, not the halibut's fault

I work for the Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Occupational Safety & Health, Mining and Tunneling Unit as an Associate Engineer.  What is all that?  I work for Cal/OSHA as an enforcement officer.  I inspect mines and tunnels under construction and regulate the use of explosives for the state.  I also tie flies and sell them from time to time, not for profit, but just to help out buddies and to keep in practice.

Might look into moonlighting as a consultant for safety and health outside of my realm of mining and tunneling, because of obvious conflict of interest issues.  The laws are the same for almost every industry, so it is a piece of cake.  In my opinion, a visit from me on a furlough Friday or on a Saturday, could save you tens of thousands of dollars in monetary fines in the event of an accident or fatality.  Even on a complaint inspection by the agency.
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

former buyer and salesmen in the electrical industry. After the cancellation of many, many projects in October of 2008, was let go in January of 2009. Since then, I've been a house-husband/dad to my two girls, and my wonderful wife. My (soon to be 4 year old) is getting into fishing, and my 2 month (I hope) will be there soon.

Im also an electrician, out here in Oakland.  I do a lot of commercial, and high end residential ( a lot of the old victorians and craftmans in the east bay)  I do a lot of lighting for wharehouses.  I like going to the woods and shooting my longbow at things, and fishing either in the canoe or the yak is nice too!!!  I also try to grow my own produce and eggs right here in the ghetto! :smt002  Right on for networking, its tough out there right now!!

Im a Simple electrical apprentice for about 3 years now. ive done two solar installs and some commercial. a couple custom homes, and everything in between. I Actually work with MANBEARPIG and im glad i do. i don't think there is anyone else out there that id rather work with. all we do is bang sh!t out and talk about yaks n bows. Its fun to learn and laugh about shoty electrical work. He (WHORIDES) every time i try to jerryrig. When in addics and crawl spaces the thoughts of tight lines and fallen pigs often comes to mind. NCKA is the reason i work. So caN GO PLAY on the weekends! oh yeah, and eat, and pay those pesky bills. (details)
I like to have fun.......
